ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆ ಹೊರಟು ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ಜನರ ಹಿರಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಗುಡಾರದ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದನು.

- 24ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆ ಹೊರಟು ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ಜನರ ಹಿರಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಗುಡಾರದ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದನು.
- 25ಕರ್ತನು ಮೇಘದೊಳಗೆ ಇಳಿದು ಬಂದು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಅವನ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಆತ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಹಿರಿಯರಾದ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಟ್ಟನು. ಆತ್ಮವು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿ ದ್ದಾಗ ಅವರು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಿದರು. ಅದನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
- 26ಆದರೆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಪಾಳೆಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದರು. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಹೆಸರು ಎಲ್ದಾದ್‌, ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನ ಹೆಸರು ಮೇದಾದ್‌; ಇವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತ್ಮವು ನೆಲೆಯಾಯಿತು. ಇವರು ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರಾಗಿ ಗುಡಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗದೆ ಪಾಳೆಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
