ಆದರೆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಪಾಳೆಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದರು. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಹೆಸರು ಎಲ್ದಾದ್‌, ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನ ಹೆಸರು ಮೇದಾದ್‌; ಇವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತ್ಮವು ನೆಲೆಯಾಯಿತು. ಇವರು ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರಾಗಿ ಗುಡಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗದೆ ಪಾಳೆಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

- 27ಆಗ ಒಬ್ಬ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥನು ಓಡಿಬಂದು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆಎಲ್ದಾದನೂ ಮೇದಾದನೂ ಪಾಳೆಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಅಂದನು.
- 28ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ತನ್ನ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಸೇವಕನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದ ನೂನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಾದ ಮೋಶೆಯೇ, ಅವರನ್ನು ತಡೆ ಅಂದನು.
