ಬಾಲಾ ಕನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದನು. ಅವನು ಸಾಮ್ಯರೂಪವಾಗಿ--ಬಾಲಾಕನೇ, ಎದ್ದು ಕೇಳು; ಚಿಪ್ಪೋರನ ಮಗನೇ, ನನಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು.

Baalaa kanu avanige--kartanu enu heliddaane andanu. Avanu saamyaroopavaagi--baalaakane, eddu kelu; chipporana magane, nanage kivigodu.

16ಕರ್ತನು ಬಿಳಾಮನ ಎದುರಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನ ಬಾಯೊಳಗೆ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನಿಟ್ಟು--ನೀನು ಬಾಲಾಕನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾತನಾಡು ಅಂದನು.
17ಇವನು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅವನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಪ್ರಧಾನರೂ ಅವನ ದಹನಬಲಿಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು;
18ಬಾಲಾ ಕನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದನು. ಅವನು ಸಾಮ್ಯರೂಪವಾಗಿ--ಬಾಲಾಕನೇ, ಎದ್ದು ಕೇಳು; ಚಿಪ್ಪೋರನ ಮಗನೇ, ನನಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು.
19ಸುಳ್ಳಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಲ್ಲ, ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪಪಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನರಪುತ್ರನಲ್ಲ; ಆತನು ನುಡಿದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡದಿರುವನೇ? ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಆತನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸನೇ?
20ಇಗೋ, ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಆತನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿ ಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನಾನು ಅದನ್ನು ಬದಲು ಮಾಡುವದ ಕ್ಕಾಗದು.
