ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಈಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಾನಾನ್‌ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಆಶ್ರಯದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು.

- 15ಕೈತಪ್ಪಿ ಪ್ರಾಣಹತ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಆರು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಪರಕೀಯರಿಗೂ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವವರಿಗೂ ಆಶ್ರಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಇರಬೇಕು.
- 16ಒಬ್ಬನು ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಆಯುಧದಿಂದ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಸಾಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಹೊಡೆದರೆ ಅವನು ಕೊಲೆಪಾತಕನು; ಆ ಕೊಲೆಪಾತಕನನ್ನು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಸಾಯಿಸಬೇಕು.
