ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಗದರಿಕೆ ಯನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡುವವನು ಪಶುಪ್ರಾಯನು.
Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof [is] brutish.
ಒಳ್ಳೆ ಯವನು ಕರ್ತನ ದಯೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿ ಮಾಡುವವನನ್ನು ಆತನು ದುಷ್ಟನೆಂದು ಖಂಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
A good [man] obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.
ಯಾವನೂ ದುಷ್ಟತನದಿಂದ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಬೇರು ಕದಲುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.
ಗುಣವತಿಯಾದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ತನ್ನ ಪತಿಗೆ ಕಿರೀಟ; ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡಿಸುವವಳು ಅವನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಳೆ ಯುವಿಕೆಯಂತೆ ಇರುವಳು.
A virtuous woman [is] a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed [is] as rottenness in his bones.
ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಆಲೋ ಚನೆಗಳು ನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿವೆ; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳು ಮೋಸ.
The thoughts of the righteous [are] right: [but] the counsels of the wicked [are] deceit.
ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮಾತುಗಳು ರಕ್ತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹೊಂಚು ಹಾಕುತ್ತವೆ; ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರ ಬಾಯಿಯು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುವದು.
The words of the wicked [are] to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.
ದುಷ್ಟರು ಕೆಡವಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಇಲ್ಲದೇ ಹೋಗುವರು; ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಮನೆಯು ನಿಲ್ಲುವದು.
The wicked are overthrown, and [are] not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.
ತನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಹೊಗ ಳಲ್ಪಡುವನು; ವಕ್ರಹೃದಯವುಳ್ಳವನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಡು ವನು.
A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.
ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯ ಕೊರತೆ ಇದ್ದು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ಘನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಸೇವಕನುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವವನೇ ಲೇಸು.
[He that is] despised, and hath a servant, [is] better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.
ನೀತಿವಂತನು ತನ್ನ ಪಶುವಿನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಅಂತಃಕರುಣೆಯು ಕ್ರೂರತನವೇ.
A righteous [man] regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked [are] cruel.
ತನ್ನ ಹೊಲವನ್ನು ವ್ಯವಸಾಯ ಮಾಡುವವನು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ತೃಪ್ತಿ ಹೊಂದುವನು; ನಿಷ್ಪ್ರಯೋಜಕರನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವ ವನು ವಿವೇಕ ಶೂನ್ಯನು.
He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain [persons is] void of understanding.
ದುಷ್ಟರು ಕೆಟ್ಟವರ ಬಲೆಯನ್ನು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಬೇರು ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ.
The wicked desireth the net of evil [men:] but the root of the righteous yieldeth [fruit].
ತನ್ನ ತುಟಿಗಳ ದೋಷದಿಂದ ದುಷ್ಟನು ಉರ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬೀಳುವನು; ನೀತಿವಂತರು ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿ ನೊಳಗಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
The wicked is snared by the transgression of [his] lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.
ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಫಲದ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದ ರಿಂದ ತೃಪ್ತನಾಗುವನು; ಅವನ ಕೈಗಳ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಡುವದು.
A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of [his] mouth: and the recompence of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.
ಅವಿವೇಕಿಯ ಮಾರ್ಗ ವು ತನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಗೆ ನೆಟ್ಟಗಾಗಿದೆ; ಆಲೋಚನೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುವವನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
The way of a fool [is] right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel [is] wise.
ಅವಿವೇ ಕಿಯ ಕೋಪವು ತಟ್ಟನೆ ರಟ್ಟಾಗುವದು; ಜಾಣನು ಅವಮಾನವನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
A fool’s wrath is presently known: but a prudent [man] covereth shame.
ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನಾ ಡುವವನು ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನೂ ಸುಳ್ಳುಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಮೋಸ ವನ್ನೂ ತೋರ್ಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
[He that] speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.
ಕತ್ತಿಯ ಇರಿತದ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವದು ಉಂಟು. ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತರ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ.
There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise [is] health.
ಸತ್ಯದ ತುಟಿಯು ಸದಾ ಸ್ಥಿರಗೊಳ್ಳು ವದು; ಸುಳ್ಳಾಡುವ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಕ್ಷಣಿಕ.
The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue [is] but for a moment.
ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವವರ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಸ; ಸಮಾಧಾನದ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವವರಿಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷ.
Deceit [is] in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace [is] joy.
ನೀತಿವಂತನಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಕೇಡೂ ಸಂಭವಿಸದು; ದುಷ್ಟರಾದರೋ ಕೇಡಿನಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.
ಸುಳ್ಳಾ ಡುವ ತುಟಿಗಳು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾಗಿವೆ. ಸತ್ಯದಿಂದ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರು ಆತನ ಆನಂದವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Lying lips [are] abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly [are] his delight.
ಜಾಣನು ತಿಳಿದದ್ದನ್ನು ಗುಪ್ತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವಿವೇಕಿ ಗಳ ಹೃದಯವು ಅವಿವೇಕತ್ವವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.
ಚುರುಕು ಕೈಯುಳ್ಳವನು ಆಳುವನು, ಸೋಮಾರಿ ಗಳು ಕಪ್ಪಕೊಡುವವರಾಗುವರು.
The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.
ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಹೃದ ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಭಾರವು ಅದನ್ನು ಕುಗ್ಗಿಸುವದು; ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮಾತು ಅದನ್ನು ಹಿಗ್ಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವದು.
Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
ನೀತಿ ವಂತನು ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನಿಗಿಂತ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಅವರನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪು ದಾರಿಗೆ ಎಳೆ ಯುತ್ತದೆ.
The righteous [is] more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.
ಸೋಮಾರಿಯು ಬೇಟೆಯಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಬೇಯಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆಯುಳ್ಳವನ ಆಸ್ತಿಯು ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.ನೀತಿಯ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವ ವಿದೆ; ಅದರ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಣವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
The slothful [man] roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man [is] precious.
ನೀತಿಯ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವ ವಿದೆ; ಅದರ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಣವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
In the way of righteousness [is] life; and [in] the pathway [thereof there is] no death.
