ಮೃದುವಾದ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವು ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿಸಿಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ; ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣವಾದ ಮಾತು ಗಳು ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.
A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯ ನಾಲಿ ಗೆಯು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಉಪಯೋಗಿ ಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನರ ಬಾಯಿಯು ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆಡುವುತ್ತದೆ.
The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
ಕೆಟ್ಟವರನ್ನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಕರ್ತನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಸ್ಥಳ ದಲ್ಲಿವೆ.
The eyes of the LORD [are] in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
ಹಿತವಾದ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಜೀವವೃಕ್ಷ; ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರ್ಖತ್ವವು ಆತ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಒಡಕು.
A wholesome tongue [is] a tree of life: but perverseness therein [is] a breach in the spirit.
ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಬೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ವಿವೇಕಿಯು ಗದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುವನು;
A fool despiseth his father’s instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.
ನೀತಿವಂತನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ಸಂಪತ್ತು; ದುಷ್ಟನ ಆದಾಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಂದರೆ ಇರುವದು.
In the house of the righteous [is] much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.
ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳ ತುಟಿಗಳು ತಿಳುವ ಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಚೆಲ್ಲುತ್ತವೆ; ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನರ ಹೃದಯವು ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುವದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish [doeth] not so.
ದುಷ್ಟರ ಯಜ್ಞವು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ; ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯು ಆತನ ಆನಂದವು.
The sacrifice of the wicked [is] an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright [is] his delight.
ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ; ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವವನನ್ನು ಆತನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸು ತ್ತಾನೆ.
The way of the wicked [is] an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.
ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ತೊರೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟವನಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯು ಕಠಿಣವಾಗಿದೆ; ಗದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡುವವನು ಸಾಯುವನು.
Correction [is] grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: [and] he that hateth reproof shall die.
ಪಾತಾಳವೂ ನಾಶನವೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿವೆ; ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಹೃದಯಗಳು ಇನ್ನೂ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇವೆಯಲ್ಲವೇ.
Hell and destruction [are] before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men?
ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸುವವನು ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಕರನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ, ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅವನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವದು ಇಲ್ಲ.
A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise.
ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುವ ಹೃದ ಯವು ಕಾಂತಿಯುಳ್ಳ ಮುಖಭಾವ ತೋರುವದು; ಹೃದಯ ವೇದನೆಯಿಂದ ಆತ್ಮವು ಕುಂದಿಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ.
A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.
ವಿವೇಕವುಳ್ಳವನ ಹೃದಯವು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತದೆ; ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನರ ಬಾಯಿಯು ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನತೆ ಯನ್ನೇ ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತದೆ.
The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.
ಬಾಧಿತರ ದಿನಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ವುಗಳೇ. ಸಂತೋಷ ಹೃದಯವುಳ್ಳವನಿಗೆ ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಔತಣ.
All the days of the afflicted [are] evil: but he that is of a merry heart [hath] a continual feast.
ಕಳವಳದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಂಪತ್ತಿ ಗಿಂತ ಕರ್ತನ ಭಯದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವೇ ಉತ್ತಮ ವಾಗಿದೆ.
Better [is] little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith.
ದ್ವೇಷವಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಎತ್ತಿನ ಮಾಂಸ ಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಇರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಸ್ಯಹಾರವು ಉತ್ತಮ.
Better [is] a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.
ಕೋಪಿಷ್ಠನು ವಿವಾದವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುವನು; ದೀರ್ಘ ಶಾಂತನು ವಿವಾದವನ್ನು ಶಮನಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but [he that is] slow to anger appeaseth strife.
ಸೋಮಾರಿಯ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಮುಳ್ಳಿನ ಬೇಲಿಯಂತೆ ಇದೆ; ನೀತಿವಂತನ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಸರಾಗವಾಗಿದೆ.
The way of the slothful [man is] as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous [is] made plain.
ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾದ ಮಗನು ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲಾಸ ಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನಾದರೋ ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿ ಯನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother.
ಜ್ಞಾನಹೀನನಿಗೆ ಮೂರ್ಖ ತನವು ಆನಂದವಾಗಿದೆ; ವಿವೇಕಿಯಾದರೋ ಯಥಾ ರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
Folly [is] joy to [him that is] destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.
ಆಲೋಚನೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳು ಸಫಲವಾಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಬಹುಮಂದಿ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರರಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಅವು ಸ್ಥಿರಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತವೆ.
Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.
ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರದಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಆನಂದವಾ ಗುತ್ತದೆ; ತಕ್ಕಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಡಿದ ಮಾತು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಒಳ್ಳೇದು!
A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word [spoken] in due season, how good [is it]!
ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಪಾತಾಳವನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಜೀವದ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಎತ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ.
The way of life [is] above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.
ಕರ್ತನು ಗರ್ವಿಷ್ಟರ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡು ವನು; ವಿಧವೆಯರ ಮೇರೆಯನ್ನು ಆತನು ನೆಲೆಗೊಳಿಸು ವನು.
The LORD will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow.
ದುಷ್ಟರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ; ಶುದ್ಧನ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಸಂತೋಷಕರ ವಾದ ಮಾತುಗಳೇ.
The thoughts of the wicked [are] an abomination to the LORD: but [the words] of the pure [are] pleasant words.
ದುರ್ಲಾಭಾಪೇಕ್ಷಕನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಲಂಚವನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡುವ ವನು ಬದುಕುವನು.
He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.
ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಹೃದಯವು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಬಾಯಿ ಯು ಕೆಟ್ಟವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆಡವುತ್ತದೆ.
The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
ಕರ್ತನು ದುಷ್ಟರಿಗೆ ದೂರ; ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಆತನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
The LORD [is] far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳ ಬೆಳಕು ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ವಾರ್ತೆಯು ಎಲುಬು ಗಳನ್ನು ಪುಷ್ಟಿಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.
The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: [and] a good report maketh the bones fat.
ಜೀವದ ಗದರಿಕೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿ ಗೊಡುವವನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise.
ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನೇ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಗದರಿಕೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುವವನು ವಿವೇಕ ವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.ಕರ್ತನ ಭಯವು ಜ್ಞಾನೋ ಪದೇಶ; ಗೌರವಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲು ವಿನಯ.
He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.
ಕರ್ತನ ಭಯವು ಜ್ಞಾನೋ ಪದೇಶ; ಗೌರವಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲು ವಿನಯ.
The fear of the LORD [is] the instruction of wisdom; and before honour [is] humility.
