ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾದ ಪ್ರತಿ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾಳೆ; ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನಳೋ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತುಹಾಕುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
ತನ್ನ ಯಥಾರ್ಥತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವವನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ತನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಕ್ರತೆಯುಳ್ಳವನು ಆತನನ್ನು ಅಸಡ್ಡೆಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but [he that is] perverse in his ways despiseth him.
ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನ ಬಾಯಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗರ್ವದ ಅಂಕುರವಿದೆ; ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತರ ತುಟಿಗಳು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವವು.
In the mouth of the foolish [is] a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
ಎತ್ತುಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರು ವಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋದಲಿಯು ಶುದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿದೆ; ಎತ್ತಿನ ಬಲದಿಂದ ಬಹಳ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯು ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
Where no oxen [are], the crib [is] clean: but much increase [is] by the strength of the ox.
ನಂಬತಕ್ಕ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಸುಳ್ಳಾಡನು; ಅಬದ್ದಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಳನ್ನೇ ಉಚ್ಚರಿ ಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.
ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವವನು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಹುಡು ಕಿದರೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ವಿವೇಚಿಸುವವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯು ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿದೆ.
A scorner seeketh wisdom, and [findeth it] not: but knowledge [is] easy unto him that understandeth.
ನೀನು ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯ ತುಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ಅವನ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ನೀನು ಹೋಗು.
Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not [in him] the lips of knowledge.
ಜಾಣನ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ತನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸುವಂತ ದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ; ಮೂಢರ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನತೆಯು ಮೋಸಕರ.
The wisdom of the prudent [is] to understand his way: but the folly of fools [is] deceit.
ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನರು ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಸ್ಯಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ನೀತಿ ವಂತರಲ್ಲಿ ದಯೆ ಇದೆ.
Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous [there is] favour.
ಹೃದಯಕ್ಕೆ ತನ್ನ ವ್ಯಾಕುಲ ತೆಯು ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತದೆ; ಪರನು ತನ್ನ ಸಂತೋಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy.
ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮನೆಯು ಕೆಡವಲ್ಪಡುವದು; ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರ ಗುಡಾರವು ಏಳಿಗೆಯಾಗುವದು.
The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.
ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಸರಿಯೆಂದು ತೋರುವ ಮಾರ್ಗ ವಿದೆ. ಅದರ ಅಂತ್ಯವು ಮರಣದ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳೇ.
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof [are] the ways of death.
ನಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೃದಯವು ದುಃಖದಿಂದ ಇರು ವದು; ಅದರ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸದ ಅಂತ್ಯವು ವ್ಯಾಕುಲವೇ.
Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth [is] heaviness.
ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂಜರಿಯುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು; ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನು ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನೇ ತೃಪ್ತಿಹೊಂದುವನು.
The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man [shall be satisfied] from himself.
ಮೂಢರು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಮಾತನ್ನು ನಂಬುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಜಾಣನು ತನ್ನ ನಡತೆಯನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಗಮನಿಸುವನು.
The simple believeth every word: but the prudent [man] looketh well to his going.
ಜ್ಞಾನಿ ಯು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗು ವನು; ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನು ಕೋಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಇರುತ್ತಾನೆ.
A wise [man] feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.
ಮುಂಗೋಪಿಯು ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನಾಗಿ ವರ್ತಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡು ತ್ತಾನೆ.
[He that is] soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.
ಮೂಢರು ಮೂರ್ಖತನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯರಾಗು ತ್ತಾರೆ; ಜಾಣರು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯ ಕಿರೀಟವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರಿಗೆ ದುಷ್ಟರು ಬಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ; ದುಷ್ಟರು ನೀತಿವಂತರ ದ್ವಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಗ್ಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
ಬಡವನು ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನಿಂದ ಹಗೆಮಾಡಲ್ಪಡುವನು; ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನಿಗೆ ಬಹು ಜನ ಮಿತ್ರರು.
The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich [hath] many friends.
ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನ ಮಾಡುವವನು ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಬಡವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕನಿಕರ ತೋರಿ ಸುವವನು ಧನ್ಯನು.
He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy [is] he.
ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವವರು ತಪ್ಪು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರಲ್ಲವೇ? ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಕರುಣೆಯೂ ಸತ್ಯವೂ ಇರುವವು.
Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth [shall be] to them that devise good.
ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಯಾಸ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾಭವಿದೆ; ತುಟಿಗಳ ಮಾತು ಬಡತನಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ದಾರಿ.
In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips [tendeth] only to penury.
ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತರ ಕಿರೀಟವು ಅದರ ಐಶ್ವ ರ್ಯವೇ; ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನರ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನತೆಯು ಅವರ ಮೂರ್ಖತನವೇ.
The crown of the wise [is] their riches: [but] the foolishness of fools [is] folly.
ಸತ್ಯ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಮೋಸದ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಡು ತ್ತಾನೆ.
A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful [witness] speaketh lies.
ಕರ್ತನ ಭಯವೇ ಬಲವಾದ ಭರವಸವು; ಆತನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಇರುವದು.
In the fear of the LORD [is] strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.
ಮರಣದ ಪಾಶಗಳಿಂದ ತೊಲಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಭಯವು ಜೀವದ ಬುಗ್ಗೆ.
The fear of the LORD [is] a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
ಜನ ಸಮೂಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನ ಘನತೆ ಇದೆ; ಜನರ ಕೊರತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜಪುತ್ರನ ನಾಶ.
In the multitude of people [is] the king’s honour: but in the want of people [is] the destruction of the prince.
ಕೋಪಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಧಾನಿಸು. ದೀರ್ಘಶಾಂತನು ದೊಡ್ಡವಿವೇಕಿ; ಆತ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತುರಪಡುವವನು ಮೂಢ ತೆಯನ್ನು ವೃದ್ಧಿಮಾಡುವನು.
[He that is] slow to wrath [is] of great understanding: but [he that is] hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
ಸ್ವಸ್ಥವಾದ ಹೃದಯವು ದೇಹಕ್ಕೆ ಜೀವ; ಮತ್ಸರವು ಎಲುಬುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕ್ಷಯವು.
A sound heart [is] the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
ಬಡವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂಸಿಸುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಹೀನೈಸುವನು; ಆತನನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸುವವನು ಬಡವರನ್ನು ಕನಿಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.
ದುಷ್ಟನು ತನ್ನ ದುಷ್ಟತನದಲ್ಲಿ ನೂಕ ಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಮರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀತಿವಂತನಿಗೆ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಇದೆ.
The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.
ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳವನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ನೆಲೆ ಯಾಗಿದೆ; ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನರಲ್ಲಿರುವದು ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but [that which is] in the midst of fools is made known.
ನೀತಿಯು ಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನು ವೃದ್ಧಿಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ; ಯಾವ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಾದರೂ ಪಾಪವು ಅವಮಾನವಾಗಿದೆ.ಜ್ಞಾನ ವುಳ್ಳ ಸೇವಕನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಅರಸನ ದಯೆ ಇದೆ; ನಾಚಿಕೆ ಪಡಿಸುವವನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಅವನ ರೌದ್ರವಿದೆ.
Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin [is] a reproach to any people.
ಜ್ಞಾನ ವುಳ್ಳ ಸೇವಕನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಅರಸನ ದಯೆ ಇದೆ; ನಾಚಿಕೆ ಪಡಿಸುವವನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಅವನ ರೌದ್ರವಿದೆ.
The king’s favour [is] toward a wise servant: but his wrath is [against] him that causeth shame.
