ತಾನು ಮೆಚ್ಚುವ ಮಗನನ್ನು ತಂದೆಯು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಯಾರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಾನೋ ಅವನನ್ನು ಆತನು ತಿದ್ದುವನು.

- 13ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನೂ ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನೂ ಧನ್ಯನು.
- 14ಅದರ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರವೂ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಅದರ ಲಾಭವು ಸೋಸಿದ ಬಂಗಾರಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿದೆ.
