ನನಗೆ ಪಾರಿವಾಳದಂತೆ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳಿರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ಹಾರಿ ಹೋಗಿ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡೆನು.

King James Version (KJV): And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! [for then] would I fly away, and be at rest.

4ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ನನ್ನ ಅಂತ ರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನೊಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ; ಮರಣದ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದವೆ.
5ಭಯವೂ ನಡುಗೂ ನನಗೆ ಬಂದವೆ; ಭೀತಿಯು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಯದೆ.
6ನನಗೆ ಪಾರಿವಾಳದಂತೆ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳಿರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ಹಾರಿ ಹೋಗಿ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡೆನು.
7ಇಗೋ, ದೂರದ ಅರ ಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗಿ ತಂಗುವೆನು. ಸೆಲಾ.
8ಗಾಳಿಯ ತುಫಾನಿಗೂ ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಗೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ತ್ವರೆಪಡುವೆನು.
