ಮೊದಲಿದ್ದು ಈಗ ಇಲ್ಲದಿರುವ ಆ ಮೃಗವು ತಾನೇ ಎಂಟನೆಯವನು; ಅವನು ಆ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ನಾಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.

9ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವುಳ್ಳ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಆ ಏಳು ತಲೆಗಳು ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಕೂತು ಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಏಳು ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳೇ.
10ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವು ಏಳು ಮಂದಿ ರಾಜರು; ಐದು ಮಂದಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಒಬ್ಬನು ಇದ್ದಾನೆ, ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಬಂದಿಲ್ಲ. ಬಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪಕಾಲ ಇರಲೇ ಬೇಕು.
11ಮೊದಲಿದ್ದು ಈಗ ಇಲ್ಲದಿರುವ ಆ ಮೃಗವು ತಾನೇ ಎಂಟನೆಯವನು; ಅವನು ಆ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ನಾಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.
12ನೀನು ಕಂಡ ಆ ಹತ್ತು ಕೊಂಬುಗಳು ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೊಂದದಿರುವ ಹತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ರಾಜರು. ಅವರು ಮೃಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಾಜರಂತೆ ಒಂದು ತಾಸಿನವರೆಗೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾರೆ.
13ಅವರು ಒಂದೇ ಮನಸ್ಸುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿದ್ದು ತಮ್ಮ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನೂ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಮೃಗಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
