And it came to pass at that time when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, that the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him in the way; and he had clad himself with a new garment; and they two [were] alone in the field:

3. 29ആ കാലത്തു ഒരിക്കൽ യൊരോബെയാം യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നു വരുമ്പോൾ ശിലോന്യനായ അഹിയാപ്രവാചകൻ വഴിയിൽവെച്ചു അവനെ കണ്ടു; അവൻ ഒരു പുതിയ അങ്കി ധരിച്ചിരുന്നു; രണ്ടുപേരും വയലിൽ തനിച്ചായിരുന്നു.
4. 30അഹിയാവു താൻ ധരിച്ചിരുന്ന പുതിയ അങ്കി പിടിച്ചു പന്ത്രണ്ടു ഖണ്ഡമായി കീറി:
5. 31യൊരോബെയാമിനോടു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: പത്തു ഖണ്ഡം നീ എടുത്തുകൊൾക; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഇതാ ഞാൻ രാജത്വം ശലോമോന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു പറിച്ചുകീറി, പത്തു ഗോത്രം നിനക്കു തരുന്നു.
