1. 12ഞാൻ നിന്നെ പിരിഞ്ഞുപോയ ഉടനെ യഹോവയുടെ ആത്മാവു നിന്നെ ഞാൻ അറിയാത്ത ഒരു സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; ഞാൻ ആഹാബിനോടു ചെന്നറിയിക്കയും അവൻ നിന്നെ കണ്ടെത്താതെ ഇരിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ അവൻ എന്നെ കൊല്ലുമല്ലോ; അടിയനോ ബാല്യംമുതൽ യഹോവഭക്തൻ ആകുന്നു.
2. 13ഈസേബെൽ യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ കൊല്ലുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരിൽ നൂറുപേരെ ഓരോ ഗുഹയിൽ അമ്പതീതുപേരായി ഒളിപ്പിച്ചു അപ്പവും വെള്ളവും കൊടുത്തു രക്ഷിച്ച വസ്തുത യജമാനൻ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലയോ?
3. 14അങ്ങനെയിരിക്കെ നീ എന്നോടു: ചെന്നു നിന്റെ യജമാനനോടു: ഏലീയാവു ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ടെന്നു ബോധിപ്പിക്ക എന്നു കല്പിക്കുന്നുവോ? അവൻ എന്നെ കൊല്ലുമല്ലോ.
4. 15അതിന്നു ഏലീയാവു: ഞാൻ സേവിച്ചുനില്ക്കുന്ന സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയാണ, ഞാൻ ഇന്നു അവന്നു എന്നെത്തന്നേ കാണിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
5. 16അങ്ങനെ ഓബദ്യാവു ആഹാബിനെ ചെന്നു കണ്ടു വസ്തുത അറിയിച്ചു; ആഹാബ് ഏലീയാവെ കാണ്മാൻ ചെന്നു.
