2. 5ആഹാബ് ഓബദ്യാവോടു: നീ നാട്ടിലുള്ള എല്ലാ നീരുറവുകളുടെയും തോടുകളുടെയും അരികത്തു ചെന്നു നോക്കുക; പക്ഷേ മൃഗങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം നശിച്ചുപോകാതെ കുതിരകളെയും കോവർകഴുതകളെയും എങ്കിലും ജീവനോടെ രക്ഷിപ്പാൻ നമുക്കു പുല്ലു കിട്ടും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
3. 6അവർ ദേശത്തുകൂടി സഞ്ചരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതിനെ തമ്മിൽ പകുത്തു; ആഹാബ് തനിച്ചു ഒരു വഴിക്കു പോയി, ഓബദ്യാവും തനിച്ചു മറ്റൊരു വഴിക്കു പോയി,
4. 7ഓബദ്യാവു വഴിയിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഏലീയാവു എതിരേറ്റുവരുന്നതു കണ്ടു അവനെ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു സാഷ്ടാംഗംവീണു: എന്റെ യജമാനനായ ഏലീയാവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
5. 8അവൻ അവനോടു: അതേ, ഞാൻ തന്നേ; നീ ചെന്നു ഏലീയാവു ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ടെന്നു നിന്റെ യജമാനനോടു ബോധിപ്പിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
