അതിന്നു അവിടത്തുകാരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ: ആരാകുന്നു അവരുടെ ഗുരുനാഥൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ആകയാൽ ശൗലും ഉണ്ടോ പ്രവാചകഗണത്തിൽ എന്നുള്ളതു പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലായി തീർന്നു.
Atinnu avitattukaaril oruttan: aaraakunnu avarute gurunaathan ennu paranynyu. Aakayaal shalum unto pravaachakaganattil ennullatu pazhanychollaayi teernnu.

- 14ശൗലിന്റെ ഇളയപ്പൻ അവനോടും അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യനോടും: നിങ്ങൾ എവിടെ പോയിരുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. കഴുതകളെ തിരയുവാൻ പോയിരുന്നു; അവയെ കാണായ്കയാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ശമൂവേലിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോയി എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
