1. 14ഏലിയുടെ ഭവനത്തിന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്നു യാഗത്താലും വഴിപാടിനാലും ഒരു നാളും പരിഹാരം വരികയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ ഏലിയുടെ ഭവനത്തോടു സത്യംചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
2. 15പിന്നെ ശമൂവേൽ രാവിലെവരെ കിടന്നുറങ്ങി; രാവിലെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ വാതിലുകളെ തുറന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഈ ദർശനം ഏലിയെ അറിയിപ്പാൻ ശമൂവേൽ ശങ്കിച്ചു.
3. 16ഏലി ശമൂവേലിനെ വിളിച്ചു: ശമൂവേലേ, മകനേ, എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അടിയൻ ഇതാ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
4. 17അപ്പോൾ അവൻ: നിനക്കുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്തു? എന്നെ ഒന്നും മറെക്കരുതേ; നിന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത സകലത്തിലും ഒരു വാക്കെങ്കിലും മറെച്ചാൽ ദൈവം നിന്നോടു തക്കവണ്ണവും അധികവും ചെയ്യട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
5. 18അങ്ങനെ ശമൂവേൽ സകലവും അവനെ അറിയിച്ചു; ഒന്നും മറെച്ചില്ല. എന്നാറെ അവൻ: യഹോവയല്ലോ; തന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ ചെയ്യട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
