വെപ്പുകാരൻ കൈക്കുറകും അതിന്മേൽ ഉള്ളതും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു ശൗലിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽവെച്ചു. നിനക്കായി സൂക്ഷിച്ചു വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു ഇതാ; തിന്നുകൊൾക; ഞാൻ ഉത്സവത്തിന്നു ആളുകളെ ക്ഷണിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു ഇതു ഉത്സവത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി നിനക്കായി സൂക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ശമൂവേൽ പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ ശൗൽ അന്നു ശമൂവേലിനോടു കൂടെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചു.
Veppukaaran kaikkurakum atinmel ullatum kontuvannu shalinte mumpilvechchu. Ninakkaayi sookshichchu vechchirikkunnatu itaa; tinnukolka; nyaan utsavattinnu aalukale kshanichchittuntu ennu paranynyukontu itu utsavattinnu venti ninakkaayi sookshichchirikkunnu ennu shamoovel paranynyu. Angngane shal annu shamoovelinotu koote bhakshanam kazhichchu.
