2. 21അവർ കേട്ടു പുലർച്ചെക്കു ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ചെന്നു ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; മഹാപുരോഹിതനും കൂടെയുള്ളവരും വന്നു ന്യായാധിപസംഘത്തെയും യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ മൂപ്പന്മാരെയും എല്ലാം വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടി, അവരെ കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ തടവിലേക്കു ആളയച്ചു.
3. 22ചേവകർ ചെന്നപ്പോൾ അവരെ കാരാഗൃഹത്തിൽ കാണാതെ മടങ്ങിവന്നു: കാരാഗൃഹം നല്ല സൂക്ഷ്മത്തോടെ പൂട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നതും കാവല്ക്കാർ വാതിൽക്കൽ നില്ക്കുന്നതും ഞങ്ങൾ കണ്ടു;
4. 23തുറന്നപ്പോഴോ അകത്തു ആരെയും കണ്ടില്ല എന്നു അറിയിച്ചു.
5. 24ഈ വാക്കു കേട്ടിട്ടു ദൈവാലയത്തിലെ പടനായകനും മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ഇതു എന്തായിത്തീരും എന്നു അവരെക്കുറിച്ചു ചഞ്ചലിച്ചു.
