അങ്ങനെ മെൽസർ അവരുടെ ഭോജനവും അവർ കുടിക്കേണ്ടുന്ന വീഞ്ഞും നീക്കി അവർക്കു ശാകപദാർത്ഥം കൊടുത്തു.

- 18അവരെ സന്നിധിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ രാജാവു കല്പിച്ചിരുന്ന കാലം തികഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ഷണ്ഡാധിപൻ അവരെ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു.
