യഹോവ നിങ്ങളെ നശിപ്പിക്കുമെന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നാല്പതുരാവും നാല്പതുപകലും വീണുകിടന്നു;

- 26ഞാൻ യഹോവയോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞതു: കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ മഹത്വംകൊണ്ടു നീ വീണ്ടെടുത്തു ബലമുള്ള കയ്യാൽ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നിന്റെ ജനത്തെയും നിന്റെ അവകാശത്തെയും നശിപ്പിക്കരുതേ.
- 27അബ്രാഹാം, യിസ്ഹാക്, യാക്കോബ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരെ ഓർക്കേണമേ; താൻ അവർക്കു വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തിരുന്ന ദേശത്തു അവരെ എത്തിപ്പാൻ യഹോവെക്കു കഴിയായ്കകൊണ്ടും അവൻ അവരെ പകെച്ചതുകൊണ്ടും അവരെ കൊണ്ടുപോയി മരുഭൂമിയിൽവെച്ചു കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു എന്നു നീ ഞങ്ങളെ വിടുവിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോന്ന ദേശക്കാർ പറയാതിരിപ്പാൻ
