1. 15യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ അതു കണ്ടാറെ എന്തെന്നു അറിയായ്കയാൽ ഇതെന്തു എന്നു തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ ചോദിച്ചു. മോശെ അവരോടു: ഇതു യഹോവ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഭക്ഷിപ്പാൻ തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന ആഹാരം ആകുന്നു.
2. 16ഓരോരുത്തന്നു ഭക്ഷിക്കാകുന്നെടത്തോളം പെറുക്കിക്കൊൾവിൻ; താന്താന്റെ കൂടാരത്തിലുള്ളവരുടെ എണ്ണത്തിന്നൊത്തവണ്ണം ആളൊന്നിന്നു ഇടങ്ങഴിവീതം എടുത്തുകൊള്ളേണം എന്നു യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
3. 17യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു. ചിലർ ഏറെയും ചിലർ കുറെയും പെറുക്കി.
4. 18ഇടങ്ങഴികൊണ്ടു അളന്നപ്പോൾ ഏറെ പെറുക്കിയവന്നു ഏറെയും കുറെ പെറുക്കിയവന്നു കുറവും കണ്ടില്ല; ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്നു ഭക്ഷിക്കാകുന്നെടത്തോളം പെറുക്കിയിരുന്നു.
5. 19പിറ്റെന്നാളേക്കു ആരും ഒട്ടും ശേഷിപ്പിക്കരുതെന്നു മോശെ പറഞ്ഞു.
