അപ്പോൾ മോശെ പറഞ്ഞതു: ഇതു ഇന്നു ഭക്ഷിപ്പിൻ; ഇന്നു യഹോവയുടെ ശബ്ബത്ത് ആകുന്നു; ഇന്നു അതു വെളിയിൽ കാണുകയില്ല.

- 23അവൻ അവരോടു: അതു യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതു തന്നേ; നാളെ സ്വസ്ഥത ആകുന്നു; യഹോവെക്കു വിശുദ്ധമായുള്ള ശബ്ബത്തു. ചുടുവാനുള്ളതു ചുടുവിൻ; പാകം ചെയ്‌വാനുള്ളതു പാകം ചെയ്‌വിൻ; ശേഷിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും നാളത്തേക്കു സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെപ്പിൻ.
- 24മോശെ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവർ അതു പിറ്റെന്നാളേക്കു സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെച്ചു; അതു നാറിപ്പോയില്ല, കൃമിച്ചതുമില്ല.
- 25അപ്പോൾ മോശെ പറഞ്ഞതു: ഇതു ഇന്നു ഭക്ഷിപ്പിൻ; ഇന്നു യഹോവയുടെ ശബ്ബത്ത് ആകുന്നു; ഇന്നു അതു വെളിയിൽ കാണുകയില്ല.
- 26ആറു ദിവസം നിങ്ങൾ അതു പെറുക്കേണം; ശബ്ബത്തായ ഏഴാം ദിവസത്തിലോ അതു ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല.
- 27എന്നാൽ ഏഴാംദിവസം ജനത്തിൽ ചിലർ പെറുക്കുവാൻ പോയാറെ കണ്ടില്ല.
