ഇഷ്ടിക ഉണ്ടാക്കുവാൻ ജനത്തിന്നു മുമ്പിലത്തെപ്പോലെ ഇനി വൈക്കോൽ കൊടുക്കരുതു; അവർ തന്നേ പോയി വൈക്കോൽ ശേഖരിക്കട്ടെ.

5ദേശത്തു ജനം ഇപ്പോൾ വളരെ ആകുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ അവരെ അവരുടെ ഊഴിയവേല മിനക്കെടുത്തുന്നു എന്നും ഫറവോൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
6അന്നു ഫറവോൻ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഊഴിയവിചാരകന്മാരോടും പ്രമാണികളോടും കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:
7ഇഷ്ടിക ഉണ്ടാക്കുവാൻ ജനത്തിന്നു മുമ്പിലത്തെപ്പോലെ ഇനി വൈക്കോൽ കൊടുക്കരുതു; അവർ തന്നേ പോയി വൈക്കോൽ ശേഖരിക്കട്ടെ.
8എങ്കിലും ഇഷ്ടികയുടെ കണക്കു മുമ്പിലത്തെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ അവരുടെ മേൽ ചുമത്തേണം; ഒട്ടും കുറെക്കരുതു. അവർ മടിയന്മാർ; അതുകൊണ്ടാകുന്നു: ഞങ്ങൾ പോയി ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു യാഗം കഴിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു നിലവിളിക്കുന്നതു.
9അവരുടെ വേല അതിഭാരമായിരിക്കട്ടെ; അവർ അതിൽ കഷ്ടപ്പെടട്ടെ;
