അങ്ങനെ അവർ അടുപ്പിലെ വെണ്ണീർ വാരി ഫറവോന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിന്നു. മോശെ അതു ആകാശത്തേക്കു വിതറിയപ്പോൾ അതു മനുഷ്യരുടെ മേലും മൃഗങ്ങളിൻ മേലും പുണ്ണായി പൊങ്ങുന്ന പരുവായ്തീർന്നു.

King James Version (KJV): And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth [with] blains upon man, and upon beast.

11പരുനിമിത്തം മന്ത്രവാദികൾക്കു മോശെയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ നില്പാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; പരു മന്ത്രവാദികൾക്കും എല്ലാമിസ്രയീമ്യർക്കും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
12എന്നാൽ യഹോവ മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നതുപോലെ അവൻ ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ കഠിനമാക്കി; അവൻ അവരെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചതുമില്ല.
