അതു വളർന്നു, പൊക്കം കുറഞ്ഞു പടരുന്ന മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയായിത്തീർന്നു; അതിന്റെ വള്ളി അവങ്കലേക്കു തിരിയേണ്ടതും അതിന്റെ വേർ അവന്നു കിഴ്പെടേണ്ടതും ആയിരുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ അതു മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയായി കൊമ്പുകളെ പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കയും ചില്ലികളെ നീട്ടുകയും ചെയ്തു.

- 7എന്നാൽ വലിയ ചിറകും വളരെ പപ്പും ഉള്ള മറ്റൊരു വലിയ കഴുകൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ അതു നനെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആ മുന്തിരിവള്ളി തന്റെ തടത്തിൽനിന്നു വേരുകളെ അവങ്കലേക്കു തിരിച്ചു കൊമ്പുകളെ അവങ്കലേക്കു നീട്ടി.
- 8കൊമ്പുകളെ പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു ഫലം കായിപ്പാനും നല്ലമുന്തിരിവള്ളി ആയിത്തീരുവാനും തക്കവണ്ണം അതിനെ വളരെ വെള്ളത്തിന്നരികെ നല്ലനിലത്തു നട്ടിരുന്നു.
