അവന്റെ അപ്പനായ യിസ്ഹാക്ക് അവനോടു: നീ ആർ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: ഞാൻ നിന്റെ മകൻ, നിന്റെ ആദ്യജാതൻ ഏശാവ് എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
Avante appanaaya yishaakk avanotu: nee aar ennu chodichchatinnu: nyaan ninte makan, ninte aadyajaatan eshaav ennu avan paranynyu.

- 33അപ്പോൾ യിസ്ഹാക്ക് അത്യന്തം ഭ്രമിച്ചു നടുങ്ങി: എന്നാൽ വേട്ടതേടി എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നവൻ ആർ? നീ വരുമുമ്പെ ഞാൻ സകലവും തിന്നു അവനെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവനുമാകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
- 34ഏശാവ് അപ്പന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടപ്പോൾ അതിദുഃഖിതനായി ഉറക്കെ നിലവിളിച്ചു: അപ്പാ, എന്നെ, എന്നെയും കൂടെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണമേ എന്നു അപ്പനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
