എന്റെ ആളുകളിൽ ചിലരെ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നിർത്തട്ടെ എന്നു ഏശാവു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു: എന്തിന്നു? യജമാനന്റെ കൃപയുണ്ടായാൽ മതി എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

- 17യാക്കോബോ സുക്കോത്തിന്നു യാത്ര പുറപ്പെട്ടു; തനിക്കു ഒരു വീടു പണിതു; കന്നുകാലിക്കൂട്ടത്തിന്നു തൊഴുത്തുകളും കെട്ടി; അതുകൊണ്ടു ആ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു സുക്കോത്ത് എന്നു പേർ പറയുന്നു.
