ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു സംസാരിച്ചപ്രകാരം പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ കേട്ടിട്ടു നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: നീ രാജാവിനോടു എന്തു സംസാരിച്ചു? ഞങ്ങളോടു പറക; ഒന്നും മറെച്ചുവെക്കരുതു; ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നെ കൊല്ലുകയില്ല; രാജാവു നിന്നോടു എന്തു സംസാരിച്ചു എന്നിങ്ങനെ ചോദിച്ചാൽ,

- 26നീ അവരോടു: യോനാഥാന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ കിടന്നു മരിക്കാതെ ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്നെ വീണ്ടും അവിടെ അയക്കരുതേ എന്നു ഞാൻ രാജസന്നിധിയിൽ സങ്കടം ബോധിപ്പിക്കയായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറയേണം.
- 27സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും യിരെമ്യാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചാറെ അവൻ, രാജാവു കല്പിച്ച ഈ വാക്കുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു; അങ്ങനെ കാര്യം വെളിവാകാഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ ഒന്നും മിണ്ടാതെ അവനെ വിട്ടുപോയി.
