നീ അവരോടു: യോനാഥാന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ കിടന്നു മരിക്കാതെ ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്നെ വീണ്ടും അവിടെ അയക്കരുതേ എന്നു ഞാൻ രാജസന്നിധിയിൽ സങ്കടം ബോധിപ്പിക്കയായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറയേണം.

- 27സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും യിരെമ്യാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചാറെ അവൻ, രാജാവു കല്പിച്ച ഈ വാക്കുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു; അങ്ങനെ കാര്യം വെളിവാകാഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ ഒന്നും മിണ്ടാതെ അവനെ വിട്ടുപോയി.
- 28യെരൂശലേം പിടിച്ച നാൾവരെ യിരെമ്യാവു കാവൽപുരമുറ്റത്തു പാർത്തു; യെരൂശലേം പിടിച്ചപ്പോഴും അവൻ അവിടെത്തന്നെ ആയിരുന്നു.
