അവിടെ യേശു പലപ്പോഴും ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുകൂടെ പോയിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുത്ത യൂദയും ആ സ്ഥലം അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

1ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു യേശു ശിഷ്യന്മാരുമായി കെദ്രോൻതോട്ടിന്നു അക്കരെക്കു പോയി. അവിടെ ഒരു തോട്ടം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അതിൽ അവനും ശിഷ്യന്മാരും കടന്നു.
2അവിടെ യേശു പലപ്പോഴും ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുകൂടെ പോയിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുത്ത യൂദയും ആ സ്ഥലം അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.
3അങ്ങനെ യൂദാ പട്ടാളത്തെയും മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും പരീശന്മാരും അയച്ച ചേവകരെയും കൂട്ടികൊണ്ടു ദീപട്ടിപന്തങ്ങളും ആയുധങ്ങളുമായി അവിടെ വന്നു.
4യേശു തനിക്കു നേരിടുവാനുള്ളതു എല്ലാം അറിഞ്ഞു പുറത്തുചെന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ ആരെ തിരയുന്നു എന്നു അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചു.
