യെഹൂദന്മാർ അവനോടു: ഈ മന്ദിരം നാല്പത്താറു സംവത്സരംകൊണ്ടു പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ മൂന്നു ദിവസത്തിന്നകം അതിനെ പണിയുമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

18എന്നാൽ യെഹൂദന്മാർ അവനോടു: നിനക്കു ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യാം എന്നതിന്നു നീ എന്തു അടയാളം കാണിച്ചുതരും എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
19യേശു അവരോടു: ഈ മന്ദിരം പൊളിപ്പിൻ; ഞാൻ മൂന്നു ദിവസത്തിന്നകം അതിനെ പണിയും എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
20യെഹൂദന്മാർ അവനോടു: ഈ മന്ദിരം നാല്പത്താറു സംവത്സരംകൊണ്ടു പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ മൂന്നു ദിവസത്തിന്നകം അതിനെ പണിയുമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
21അവനോ തന്റെ ശരീരം എന്ന മന്ദിരത്തെക്കുറിച്ചത്രേ പറഞ്ഞതു.
22അവൻ ഇതു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു അവൻ മരിച്ചവരിൽനിന്നു ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റ ശേഷം ശിഷ്യന്മാർ ഓർത്തു തിരുവെഴുത്തും യേശു പറഞ്ഞ വചനവും വിശ്വസിച്ചു.
