അതു എവിടെനിന്നു എന്നു വെള്ളം കോരിയ ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരല്ലാതെ വിരുന്നുവാഴി അറിഞ്ഞില്ല. വീഞ്ഞായിത്തീർന്ന വെള്ളം വിരുന്നുവാഴി രുചിനോക്കിയാറെ മണവാളനെ വിളിച്ചു:

Atu eviteninnu ennu vellam koriya shushrooshakkaarallaate virunnuvaazhi arinynyilla. Veenynyaayitteernna vellam virunnuvaazhi ruchinokkiyaare manavaalane vilichchu:

10എല്ലാവരും ആദ്യം നല്ല വീഞ്ഞും ലഹരി പിടിച്ചശേഷം ഇളപ്പമായതും കൊടുക്കുമാറുണ്ടു; നീ നല്ല വീഞ്ഞു ഇതുവരെയും സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെച്ചുവല്ലോ എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
11യേശു ഇതിനെ അടയാളങ്ങളുടെ ആരംഭമായി ഗലീലയിലെ കാനാവിൽവെച്ചു ചെയ്തു തന്റെ മഹത്വം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി; അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചു.
