15സ്ത്രീ അവനാടു: യജമാനനേ, എനിക്കു ദാഹിക്കാതെയും ഞാൻ കോരുവാൻ ഇവിടത്തോളം വരാതെയുമിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആ വെള്ളം എനിക്കു തരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
16യേശു അവളോടു: പോയി ഭർത്താവിനെ വിളിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുവരിക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
17എനിക്കു ഭർത്താവു ഇല്ല എന്നു സ്ത്രീ അവനോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു: എനിക്കു ഭർത്താവു ഇല്ല എന്നു നീ പറഞ്ഞതു ശരി.
18അഞ്ചു ഭർത്താക്കന്മാർ നിനക്കു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഇപ്പോൾ ഉള്ളവനോ ഭർത്താവല്ല; നീ പറഞ്ഞതു സത്യം തന്നേ എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞു.
