തമ്പുരാൻ നിലത്തു മരിച്ചുകിടക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു. എന്നാൽ അവർ കാത്തിരുന്നതിന്നിടയിൽ ഏഹൂദ് ഓടിപ്പോയി വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ കടന്നു സെയീരയിൽ ചെന്നുചേർന്നു.

- 28അവൻ അവരോടു: എന്റെ പിന്നാലെ വരുവിൻ; ശത്രുക്കളായ മോവാബ്യരെ യഹോവ നിങ്ങളുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവർ അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു മോവാബിന്നു നേരെയുള്ള യോർദ്ദാന്റെ കടവുകൾ പിടിച്ചു; ആരെയും കടപ്പാൻ സമ്മതിച്ചതുമില്ല.
