1. 7*അതുകൊണ്ടു മനുഷ്യൻ അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും വിട്ടു ഭാര്യയോടു പറ്റിച്ചേരും;
2. 8ഇരുവരും ഒരു ദേഹമായിത്തീരും; അങ്ങനെ അവർ പിന്നെ രണ്ടല്ല ഒരു ദേഹമത്രേ.
3. 9ആകയാൽ ദൈവം യോജിപ്പിച്ചതിനെ മനുഷ്യൻ വേർപിരിക്കരുതു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
4. 10വീട്ടിൽ വെച്ചു ശിഷ്യന്മാർ പിന്നെയും അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.
5. 11അവൻ അവരോടു: ഭാര്യയെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു മറ്റൊരുത്തിയെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നവൻ അവൾക്കു വിരോധമായി വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
