ബിലെയാം ദൈവത്തോടു: “ഒരു ജനം മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുവന്നു ഭൂതലത്തെ മൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ വന്നു എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി അവരെ ശപിക്കേണം.

- 11പക്ഷേ അവരോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു അവരെ ഓടിച്ചുകളവാൻ എനിക്കു കഴിയും എന്നിങ്ങനെ മോവാബ്‌രാജാവായി സിപ്പോരിന്റെ മകനായ ബാലാക്ക് എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
- 12ദൈവം ബിലെയാമിനോടു: “നീ അവരോടുകൂടെ പോകരുതു; ആ ജനത്തെ ശപിക്കയും അരുതു; അവർ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ ആകുന്നു” എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.
