ആരും ഓടിക്കാതെ ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ ഓടിപ്പോകുന്നു; നീതിമാന്മാരോ ബാലസിംഹംപോലെ നിർഭയമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
ദേശത്തെ അതിക്രമംനിമിത്തം അതിലെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ പലരായിരിക്കുന്നു; ബുദ്ധിയും പരിജ്ഞാനവും ഉള്ളവർ മുഖാന്തരമോ അതിന്റെ വ്യവസ്ഥ ദീർഘമായി നില്ക്കുന്നു.
For the transgression of a land many [are] the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding [and] knowledge the state [thereof] shall be prolonged.
അഗതികളെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ദരിദ്രൻ വിളവിനെ വെച്ചേക്കാതെ ഒഴുക്കിക്കളയുന്ന മഴപോലെയാകുന്നു.
A poor man that oppresseth the poor [is like] a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.
ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവർ ദുഷ്ടനെ പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നു; ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെ കാക്കുന്നവരോ അവരോടു എതിർക്കുന്നു.
They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.
ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ ന്യായം തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നില്ല; യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവരോ സകലവും തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നു.
Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all [things].
തന്റെ വഴികളിൽ വക്രനായി നടക്കുന്ന ധനവാനെക്കാൾ പരമാർത്ഥതയിൽ നടക്കുന്ന ദരിദ്രൻ ഉത്തമൻ.
Better [is] the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than [he that is] perverse [in his] ways, though he [be] rich.
ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെ പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവൻ ബുദ്ധിയുള്ള മകൻ; അതിഭക്ഷകന്മാർക്കു സഖിയായവനോ അപ്പനെ അപമാനിക്കുന്നു.
Whoso keepeth the law [is] a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous [men] shameth his father.
പലിശയും ലാഭവും വാങ്ങി സമ്പത്തു വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നവൻ അഗതികളോടു കൃപാലുവായവന്നു വേണ്ടി അതു ശേഖരിക്കുന്നു.
He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.
ന്യായപ്രമാണം കേൾക്കാതെ ചെവി തിരിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞാൽ അവന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥനതന്നേയും വെറുപ്പാകുന്നു.
He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer [shall be] abomination.
നേരുള്ളവരെ ദുർമ്മാർഗ്ഗത്തിലേക്കു തെറ്റിക്കുന്നവൻ താൻ കുഴിച്ച കുഴിയിൽ തന്നേ വീഴും; നിഷ്കളങ്കന്മാരോ നന്മ അവകാശമാക്കും.
Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good [things] in possession.
ധനവാൻ തനിക്കുതന്നേ ജ്ഞാനിയായി തോന്നുന്നു; ബുദ്ധിയുള്ള അഗതിയോ അവനെ ശോധന ചെയ്യുന്നു.
The rich man [is] wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.
നീതിമാന്മാർ ജയഘോഷം കഴിക്കുമ്പോൾ മഹോത്സവം; ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ ഉയർന്നുവരുമ്പോഴോ ആളുകൾ ഒളിച്ചുകൊള്ളുന്നു.
When righteous [men] do rejoice, [there is] great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.
തന്റെ ലംഘനങ്ങളെ മറെക്കുന്നവന്നു ശുഭം വരികയില്ല; അവയെ ഏറ്റുപറഞ്ഞു ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവന്നോ കരുണ ലഭിക്കും.
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh [them] shall have mercy.
എപ്പോഴും ഭയത്തോടിരിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ; ഹൃദയത്തെ കഠിനമാക്കുന്നവനോ അനർത്ഥത്തിൽ അകപ്പെടും.
Happy [is] the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.
അഗതികളിൽ കർത്തൃത്വം നടത്തുന്ന ദുഷ്ടൻ ഗർജ്ജിക്കുന്ന സിംഹത്തിന്നും ഇരതേടി നടക്കുന്ന കരടിക്കും തുല്യൻ.
[As] a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; [so is] a wicked ruler over the poor people.
ബുദ്ധിഹീനനായ പ്രഭു മഹാ പീഡകനും ആകുന്നു; ദ്രവ്യാഗ്രഹം വെറുക്കുന്നവനോ ദീർഘായുസ്സോടെ ഇരിക്കും.
The prince that wanteth understanding [is] also a great oppressor: [but] he that hateth covetousness shall prolong [his] days.
രക്തപാതകഭാരം ചുമക്കുന്നവൻ കുഴിയിലേക്കു ബദ്ധപ്പെടും; അവനെ ആരും തടുക്കരുതു.
A man that doeth violence to the blood of [any] person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him.
നിഷ്കളങ്കനായി നടക്കുന്നവൻ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും; നടപ്പിൽ വക്രതയുള്ളവനോ പെട്ടെന്നു വീഴും.
Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but [he that is] perverse [in his] ways shall fall at once.
നിലം കൃഷിചെയ്യുന്നവന്നു ആഹാരം സമൃദ്ധിയായി കിട്ടും; നിസ്സാരന്മാരെ പിൻചെല്ലുന്നവനോ വേണ്ടുവോളം ദാരിദ്ര്യം അനുഭവിക്കും.
He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain [persons] shall have poverty enough.
വിശ്വസ്തപുരുഷൻ അനുഗ്രഹസമ്പൂർണ്ണൻ; ധനവാനാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ബദ്ധപ്പെടുന്നവന്നോ ശിക്ഷ വരാതിരിക്കയില്ല.
A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.
മുഖദാക്ഷിണ്യം കാണിക്കുന്നതു നന്നല്ല; ഒരു കഷണം അപ്പത്തിന്നായും മനുഷ്യൻ അന്യായം ചെയ്യും.
To have respect of persons [is] not good: for for a piece of bread [that] man will transgress.
കണ്ണുകടിയുള്ളവൻ ധനവാനാകുവാൻ ബദ്ധപ്പെടുന്നു; ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടു വരുമെന്നു അവൻ അറിയുന്നതുമില്ല.
He that hasteth to be rich [hath] an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.
ചക്കരവാക്കു പറയുന്നവനെക്കാൾ ശാസിക്കുന്നവന്നു പിന്നീടു പ്രീതി ലഭിക്കും.
He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.
അപ്പനോടോ അമ്മയോടോ പിടിച്ചുപറിച്ചിട്ടു അതു അക്രമമല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നവൻ നാശകന്റെ സഖി.
Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, [It is] no transgression; the same [is] the companion of a destroyer.
അത്യാഗ്രഹമുള്ളവൻ വഴക്കുണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവനോ പുഷ്ടി പ്രാപിക്കും.
He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat.
സ്വന്തഹൃദയത്തിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവൻ മൂഢൻ; ജ്ഞാനത്തോടെ നടക്കുന്നവനോ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും.
He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
ദരിദ്രന്നു കൊടുക്കുന്നവന്നു കുറെച്ചൽ ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; കണ്ണു അടെച്ചുകളയുന്നവന്നോ ഏറിയൊരു ശാപം ഉണ്ടാകും.
He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.
ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ ഉയർന്നുവരുമ്പോൾ ആളുകൾ ഒളിച്ചുകൊള്ളുന്നു; അവർ നശിക്കുമ്പോഴോ നീതിമാന്മാർ വർദ്ധിക്കുന്നു.
When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.
