അതു അവന്നു പുതെക്കുന്ന വസ്ത്രംപോലെയും നിത്യം അരെക്കു കെട്ടുന്ന കച്ചപോലെയും ഇരിക്കട്ടെ.

King James Version (KJV): Let it be unto him as the garment [which] covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.
World English Bible (WEB): Let it be to him as the clothing with which he covers himself, for the belt that is always around him.

17ശാപം അവന്നു പ്രിയമായിരുന്നു; അതു അവന്നു ഭവിച്ചു; അനുഗ്രഹം അവന്നു അപ്രിയമായിരുന്നു; അതു അവനെ വിട്ടകന്നു പോയി.
18അവൻ വസ്ത്രംപോലെ ശാപം ധരിച്ചു; അതു വെള്ളംപോലെ അവന്റെ ഉള്ളിലും എണ്ണപോലെ അവന്റെ അസ്ഥികളിലും ചെന്നു.
19അതു അവന്നു പുതെക്കുന്ന വസ്ത്രംപോലെയും നിത്യം അരെക്കു കെട്ടുന്ന കച്ചപോലെയും ഇരിക്കട്ടെ.
20ഇതു എന്റെ എതിരാളികൾക്കും എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി ദോഷം പറയുന്നവർക്കും യഹോവ കൊടുക്കുന്ന പ്രതിഫലം ആകുന്നു.
21നീയോ കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നടുത്തവണ്ണം എന്നോടു ചെയ്യേണമേ; നിന്റെ ദയ നല്ലതാകകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കേണമേ.
