പ്രാവിന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ എനിക്കു ചിറകുണ്ടായിരുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ! എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ പറന്നുപോയി വിശ്രമിക്കുമായിരുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

Praavinnullatupole enikku chirakuntaayirunnuvengkil! Ennaal nyaan parannupoyi vishramikkumaayirunnu ennu nyaan paranynyu.

King James Version (KJV): And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! [for then] would I fly away, and be at rest.

4എന്റെ ഹൃദയം എന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ വേദനപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; മരണഭീതിയും എന്റെമേൽ വീണിരിക്കുന്നു.
5ഭയവും വിറയലും എന്നെ പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; പരിഭ്രമം എന്നെ മൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
6പ്രാവിന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ എനിക്കു ചിറകുണ്ടായിരുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ! എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ പറന്നുപോയി വിശ്രമിക്കുമായിരുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
7അതേ, ഞാൻ ദൂരത്തു സഞ്ചരിച്ചു, മരുഭൂമിയിൽ പാർക്കുമായിരുന്നു! സേലാ.
8കൊടുങ്കാറ്റിൽനിന്നും പെരുങ്കാറ്റിൽനിന്നും ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു ഞാൻ ഒരു സങ്കേതത്തിലേക്കു ഓടിപ്പോകുമായിരുന്നു!
