హదరెజెరునకును తోహూకును విరోధము కలిగియుండెను గనుక రాజైన దావీదు హదరెజెరుతో యుద్ధముచేసి అతని నోడించినందుకై దావీదుయొక్క క్షేమము తెలిసికొనుటకును, అతనితో శుభవచనములుపలుకుటకును, బంగారముతోను వెండితోను ఇత్తడితోను చేయబడిన సకల విధములైన పాత్రలనిచ్చి, తోహూ తన కుమారుడైన హదోరమును అతనియొద్దకు పంపెను.

King James Version (KJV): He sent Hadoram his son to king David, to enquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him; (for Hadarezer had war with Tou;) and [with him] all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass.

11ఈ వస్తువులను కూడ రాజైన దావీదు తాను ఎదో మీయులయొద్దనుండియు, మోయాబీయులయొద్ద నుండియు, అమ్మోనీయులయొద్ద నుండియు, ఫిలిష్తీయుల యొద్దనుండియు, అమాలేకీయులయొద్ద నుండియు తీసికొనిన వెండి బంగారములతో పాటుగా యెహోవాకు ప్రతిష్ఠించెను.
12మరియు సెరూయా కుమారుడైన అబీషై ఉప్పులోయలో ఎదోమీయులలో పదునెనిమిది వేల మందిని హతము చేసెను.
