3. 7ముప్పది రెండువేల రథములతో వచ్చునట్లు జీతమిచ్చి మయకారాజును అతని జనులను కుదుర్చుకొనిరి; వీరు వచ్చి మేదెబా ముందరితట్టున దిగిరి, అమ్మోనీయులు తమతమ పట్టణములలోనుండి కూడుకొని యుద్దముచేయుటకు వచ్చిరి.
4. 8దావీదు ఈ సంగతి విని యోవాబును సైన్యములోని పరాక్రమశాలుల నందరిని పంపెను.
5. 9అమ్మోనీయులు బయలుదేరి పట్టణపు గవిని యొద్ద యుద్ధపంక్తులు తీర్చిరి, వచ్చిన రాజులు ప్రత్యేకముగా బయట భూమిలో యుద్ధమునకు సిద్ధముగా నిలిచిరి.
