ఎవడైనను తన కుమార్తెకు పెండ్లిచేయ నవసరములేకయుండి, అతడు స్థిరచిత్తుడును, తన ఇష్ట ప్రకారము జరుప శక్తిగలవాడునై, ఆమెను వివాహములేకుండ ఉంచవలెనని తన మనస్సులో నిశ్చయించుకొనిన యెడల బాగుగా ప్రవర్తించుచున్నాడు.

King James Version (KJV): Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.

39భార్య తన భర్త బ్రదికియున్నంతకాలము బద్ధురాలైయుండును, భర్త మృతిపొందినయెడల ఆమె కిష్టమైనవానిని పెండ్లి చేసికొనుటకు స్వతంత్రురాలై యుండునుగాని ప్రభువు నందు మాత్రమే పెండ్లిచేసికొన వలెను.
