King James Version (KJV): And it was told Solomon, saying, Behold, Adonijah feareth king Solomon: for, lo, he hath caught hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let king Solomon swear unto me to day that he will not slay his servant with the sword.
World English Bible (WEB): Solomon was told, “Behold, Adonijah fears King Solomon; for, behold, he is hanging onto the horns of the altar, saying, ‘Let King Solomon swear to me first that he will not kill his servant with the sword.’”

52సొలొమోను ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను అతడు తన్ను యోగ్యునిగా అగుపరచుకొనిన యెడల అతని తల వెండ్రుకలలో ఒకటైనను క్రిందపడదు గాని అతనియందు దౌష్ట్యము కనబడిన యెడల అతనికి మరణశిక్ష వచ్చునని సెలవిచ్చి
53బలిపీఠమునొద్దనుండి అతని పిలువనంపించెను; అతడు వచ్చి రాజైన సొలొమోను ఎదుట సాష్టాంగపడగా సొలొమోను అతనితోనీ యింటికి పొమ్మని సెలవిచ్చెను.
