అంతట యరొబాము యెరూషలేములోనుండి బయలు వెడలిపోగా షిలోనీయు డును ప్రవక్తయునగు అహీయా అతనిని మార్గమందు కను గొనెను; అహీయా క్రొత్తవస్త్రము ధరించుకొని యుండెను, వారిద్దరు తప్ప పొలములో మరి యెవడును లేకపోయెను.

- 30అంతట అహీయా తాను ధరించుకొని యున్న క్రొత్త వస్త్రమును పట్టుకొని పండ్రెండు తునకలుగా చింపి యరొబాముతో ఇట్లనెనుఈ పది తునకలను నీవు తీసికొనుము;
- 31ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చున దేమనగాజనులు నన్ను విడిచి పెట్టి అష్తారోతు అను సీదోనీయుల దేవతకును కెమోషు అను మోయాబీయుల దేవతకును మిల్కోము అను అమ్మో నీయుల దేవతకును మ్రొక్కి,
