ఈ ప్రకారము సొలొమోను యెహోవా దృష్టికి చెడు నడత నడచి తన తండ్రియైన దావీదు అనుసరించినట్లు యథార్థహృదయముతో యెహోవాను అనుసరింపలేదు.

- 7సొలొమోను కెమోషు అను మోయాబీయుల హేయమైన దేవతకును మొలెకు అను అమ్మోనీయుల హేయమైన దేవతకును యెరూష లేము ఎదుటనున్న కొండమీద బలిపీఠములను కట్టించెను.
- 8తమ దేవతలకు ధూపము వేయుచు బలుల నర్పించుచుండిన పరస్త్రీలైన తన భార్యల నిమిత్తము అతడు ఈలాగు చేసెను.
