1నెబాతు కుమారుడును రాజునైన యరొబాము ఏలు బడిలో పదునెనిమిదవ సంవత్సరమున అబీయాము యూదా వారిని ఏలనారంభించెను.
2అతడు మూడు సంవత్సరములు యెరూషలేమునందు రాజుగా ఉండెను; అతని తల్లి పేరు మయకా; ఆమె అబీషాలోము కుమార్తె.
3అతడు తన తండ్రి పూర్వము అనుసరించిన పాపమార్గములన్నిటిలో నడిచెను; తన పితరుడైన దావీదు హృదయము తన దేవుడైన యెహోవాయెడల యథార్థముగా ఉన్నట్లు అతని హృదయము యథార్థముగా ఉండలేదు.
4దావీదు హిత్తీయుడైన ఊరియా సంగతియందు తప్ప తన జీవిత దినములన్నియు యెహోవా దృష్టికి యథార్థముగా నడుచు కొనుచు, యెహోవా అతనికిచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞలలో దేని విషయ మందును తప్పిపోకుండెను గనుక
