2. 12ఆ భూకంపమైన తరువాత మెరుపు పుట్టెను గాని ఆ మెరుపునందు యెహోవా ప్రత్యక్షము కాలేదు, మెరుపు ఆగిపోగా మిక్కిలి నిమ్మళముగా మాటలాడు ఒక స్వరము వినబడెను.
3. 13ఏలీయా దాని విని తన దుప్పటితో ముఖము కప్పుకొని బయలుదేరి గుహవాకిట నిలిచెను. అంతలో ఏలీయా, ఇచ్చట నీవేమి చేయుచున్నావని యొకడు పలికిన మాట అతనికి వినబడెను.
4. 14అందుకతడుఇశ్రా యేలువారు నీ నిబంధనను త్రోసివేసి నీ బలిపీఠములను పడగొట్టి నీ ప్రవక్తలను ఖడ్గముచేత హతము చేసిరి. సైన్య ములకధిపతియు దేవుడునగు యెహోవా కొరకు మహా రోషముగలవాడనై నేను ఒకడను మాత్రమే మిగిలియుండగా వారు నా ప్రాణము తీసివేయుటకై చూచు చున్నారని చెప్పెను.
5. 15అప్పుడు యెహోవా అతనికి సెల విచ్చిన దేమనగానీవు మరలి అరణ్యమార్గమున దమస్కు నకు పోయి దానిలో ప్రవేశించి సిరియ దేశముమీద హజాయేలునకు పట్టాభిషేకము చేయుము;
