King James Version (KJV): Wherefore he said unto the messengers of Ben-hadad, Tell my lord the king, All that thou didst send for to thy servant at the first I will do: but this thing I may not do. And the messengers departed, and brought him word again.
World English Bible (WEB): Therefore he said to the messengers of Ben Hadad, “Tell my lord the king, ‘All that you sent for to your servant at the first I will do, but this thing I cannot do.’” The messengers departed and brought him back the message.

10బెన్హదదు మరల అతని యొద్దకు దూతలను పంపినాతోకూడ వచ్చిన వారందరును పిడికెడు ఎత్తికొని పోవుటకు షోమ్రోను యొక్క ధూళి చాలినయెడల దేవతలు నాకు గొప్ప అపాయము కలుగజేయుదురు గాక అని వర్తమానము చేసెను.
11అందుకు ఇశ్రాయేలురాజుతన ఆయుధమును నడుమున బిగించుకొనువాడు దానివిప్పి తీసి వేసినవానివలె అతిశయపడకూడదని చెప్పుడనెను.
