1. 17వారిలో ఒకతె యిట్లు మనవి చేసెనునా యేలినవాడా చిత్తగించుము, నేనును ఈ స్త్రీయును ఒక యింటిలో నివసించుచున్నాము; దానితో కూడ ఇంటిలో ఉండి నేనొక పిల్లను కంటిని.
2. 18నేను కనిన మూడవ దినమున ఇదియు పిల్లను కనెను; మేమిద్దర మును కూడనున్నాము, మేమిద్దరము తప్ప ఇంటిలో మరి యెవరును లేరు.
3. 19అయితే రాత్రియందు ఇది పడకలో తన పిల్లమీద పడగా అది చచ్చెను.
4. 20కాబట్టి మధ్య రాత్రి యిది లేచి నీ దాసినైన నేను నిద్రించుచుండగా వచ్చి, నా ప్రక్కలోనుండి నా బిడ్డను తీసికొని తన కౌగిటిలో పెట్టుకొని, చచ్చిన తన పిల్లను నా కౌగిటిలో ఉంచెను.
5. 21ఉదయమున నేను లేచి నా పిల్లకు పాలియ్య చూడగా అది చచ్చినదాయెను; తరువాత ఉదయమున నేను పిల్లను నిదానించి చూచినప్పుడు వాడు నా కడుపున పుట్టినవాడు కాడని నేను తెలిసికొంటిని.
