2. 18మరియు ఈ పది జున్నుగడ్డలు తీసికొని పోయి వారి సహస్రాధిపతికిమ్ము; నీ సహోదరులు క్షేమముగా నున్నారో లేదో సంగతి తెలిసికొని వారియొద్దనుండి ఆనవాలొకటి తీసికొని రమ్మనిచెప్పి పంపివేసెను.

4. 20దావీదు ఉదయమున లేచి ఒక కాపరికి గొఱ్ఱెలను అప్పగించి ఆ వస్తువులను తీసికొని యెష్షయి తన కిచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞ చొప్పున ప్రయాణమైపోయెను; అయితే అతడు కందకమునకు వచ్చునప్పటికి వారును వీరును పంక్తులుగా తీరి, జయము జయమని అరుచుచు యుద్ధమునకు సాగుచుండిరి.
5. 21సైన్యము సైన్యమునకు ఎదురై ఇశ్రాయేలీయులును ఫిలిష్తీయులును యుద్ధసన్న ద్ధులై బయలుదేరు చుండిరి.
