కెయీలా జనులు నన్ను నా జనులను సౌలు చేతికి అప్పగించుదురా అని దావీదు మరల మనవి చేయగా యెహోవావారు నిన్ను అప్ప గించుదురని సెలవిచ్చెను.

- 13అంతట దావీదును దాదాపు ఆరువందల మందియైన అతని జనులును లేచి కెయీలాలో నుండి తరలి, ఎక్కడికి పోగలరో అక్కడకు వెళ్లిరి. దావీదు కెయీలాలోనుండి తప్పించుకొనిన సంగతి సౌలు విని వెళ్లక మానెను.
- 14అయితే దావీదు అరణ్యములోని కొండస్థలముల యందును, జీఫు అను అరణ్యమున ఒక పర్వతమందును నివాసము చేయుచుండెను; సౌలు అనుదినము అతని వెదకినను దేవుడు సౌలుచేతికి అతని నప్పగించలేదు.
